AR FW‘12 Men’s Collection
AR’s FW‘12 Men’s Collection was described as a blank canvas, allowing the wearer to develop their own personal story with its garments. Looking closer at the pieces, it’s clear that the brand’s central focus remained on material selection, with double faced wool, deer leather, baby alpaca, and cashmere being employed to refine otherwise basic silhouettes. When crossing these fine materials with an obsession for tailoring and craftsmanship, not only is their suiting handsome, their staple sweaters, trousers, button-down shirts and tees are raised up a level. In addition, AR put significant consideration into the comfort of the clothing when it’s layered, using soft and light, but warm materials, with smooth linings. The total collection is filled with garments that will stay a part of your everyday life, only getting better with wear.
Named because it is literally the 3rd pant silhouette the label has produced, these No.3 Trousers are constructed of a warming Moleskin fabric. The small nap on the surface of the material has a smooth texture that is suede-like, adding to the toasty character of the bottoms. They are cut slim and straight, making them utterly timeless.
PULLOVER ZIP SWEATER
This sweater is lightweight with a silky touch against your skin because of the Italian baby Alpaca yarn it is knit from. AR's signature element, the zipper, was added to the outdoorsy shawl collar as a unique accent to this classic piece. The wide ribs create a chunky texture and give it a cozy look. Available in two colors.
PANELED PLAID SHIRT
Flannel fabric with a high thread count is a rare thing to find, but AR searched it out! Subtle paneling on the chest and piping at the yolk accentuate this menswear classic, offering a unique twist with the quality construction and high comfort. This is one of those pieces you can wear everyday and just watch it get better and better.
2-WAY MOUNTAIN PARKA
This Mountain Parka is extremely warm so you can conquer the frozen months in it. The outer shell is constructed of a dense high-tech fabric that blocks the wind, and it is bonded with a mesh lining to keep the heat inside. The material is water repellent yet incredibly breathable, and the garment comes with a removable MA-1 flight jacket as a liner. Each piece can be worn seperate or together, depending on what the weather is like that day…
