THOMAS WYLDE A/W‘12
Since Paula Thomas launched her line in 2005, Thomas Wylde has created a strong voice for sexy, bold, and glamorous women. The collection established a unique aesthetic that combined a rock-n-roll edge with sophisticated sensuality, and has earned a cult following around the world. The themes and graphic patterns/prints that change every season are key elements of the brand’s identity. For FW12, there are two featured: “The Hidden” and “War of Warriors.” “The Hidden” hides skulls in roses, and is an edgy and dark take on the usually sweet and girly floral patterns. “War of Warriors” takes a cue from Samoan tribal tattoo designs and is beautifully executed in black and white. These patterns are employed in her signature chiffon dresses, silk blouses and knitwear pieces to give them an unforgettable look. Besides the show-stopper items with statement making details such as crystals, studs and bow-ties, the collection also offers relaxed items that have slouchy silhouettes and are silky to the touch. Thomas Wylde’s world of dark elegance and high quality creates a powerful depiction of a sexy and fearless woman.
