AR Women’s SS13 Pre-Collection For AR’s SS13 Women’s Pre-Collection, the designers developed the story by limiting themselves to three fundamental colors: navy, black and optical white. The collection expresses the depth of these classic colors, using different materials and textures. Shifting away from strict silhouettes, the fit became slightly oversized to give the collection a relaxed movement. Each season, fabric selection is a crucial part of AR’s design process. For SS13, silk de chine was explored, bringing fresh life to garments with its beautiful draping qualities. Understated material blocking brought a youthful dimension that drew various statements from one piece, while chiffon was employed for its sheer and airy characteristics that add light accents of femininity. The leather pieces are also extraordinary, employing the finest materials to give The Collection a slight edge to its springtime softness. MARINE COAT
The AR Marine Coat is constructed from Japanese-made crisp cotton in AR’s original stripe pattern. The material is finished with a special bonding technique to maintain the pieces beautiful flares silhouette.
SILK DRESS
Delicately assembled in fine Italian silk, this long shirt dress is inspired by AR’s signature basic shirt, and done in one of the key colors of the season- navy. It draws exquisite draping and gives the wearer a relaxed feel. Despite its ankle length, the carefully designed side slits show just the right amount of skin to allow for airy movement when worn.
EYELET DRESS
The Eyelet Dress employs delicate Japanese lace, and is lined with crisp cotton to keep the flare volume of the skirt. The slashed neckline, French sleeves, and knee length create a flattering silhouette for any woman.

AR selected soft and “buttery to-the-touch” lamb leather for this skirt to add a luxurious, glossy texture to The Collection. The subtle ruffle at the hem adds a feminine touch to the edgy material.
