DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
In 1970's there was a revolution when the "wrap dress" created a phenomenon in NY and about 500 pieces were sold instantly. The dress symbolized female power and freedom and the designer who introduced us to this dress is Diane Von Furstenberg. After a hiatus, in 1997 she roared back into the fashion world with a signature line of dresses based on the simple philosophy from the 70's. Nowadays her collections are carried in over 50 high-end boutiques around the world. Her free spirited independence and straight forward style has won her an iconic status among fashion conscious women. Diane's influence toward fashion was so profound that the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) presented her with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
