RIVY NG
Rivy Ng was born in the island country of Singapore. After completing his secondary education in technical studies he focused on creating both furniture and home product designs. In the autumn of 1994, Rivy left for Washington state to pursue his education in painting. One year later, he transferred to the Parsons School of Design in New York City and obtained his bachelor’s degree in design marketing. In 2000, Rivy accepted a position as the art director for Staff International USA. He took on the responsibility of building the DSquared2 brand into the American market. In October 2004, Rivy founded MadCornerShop, Inc.and designed a collection under the Rivy Ng label landing in 14 of the most high profile stores around the world. In February 2005, he was invited by the Triennale Di Milano (Museum of Modern Art in Milan, Italy) to install his collection in an exhibition. The Rivy Ng design philosophy is to craft poetic and unique pieces which tell a story. The collection's pieces thoughtfully evolve from inspired themes such as childhood, love, and a touch of fantasy. Often times, they evoke a sense of warmth, strength and nostalgia.
